My Approach

"It's never too late to become the person you've always wanted to be." - Anne Sweeney

My approach to therapy reflects my approach to life, which Anne Sweeney sums up well in her quote. Life is a never-ending road of discovery with daily opportunities to rewrite the script by which we've been living. In my work, I strive to help my clients find that same curiosity and sense of empowerment about their own lives. Let's face it, life can be hard, life can be messy, and life can sometimes take the wind out of your sails. And there's no better way to soar above the chaos of it all and find joy than to know that, no matter what life throws at you, you have the resiliency to handle it.

So how do we get you there? While there may be brief moments of more traditional talk therapy in session, my work relies heavily on a form of therapy called Natural Processing, which targets how both the brain and the body are responding to particular struggles we may be having. Talk therapy is primarily a left-brain endeavor, yet our experiences are stored in myriad ways throughout ALL parts of our brain and body. By using a modality that is all-encompassing, the growth experienced is both deeper and more efficient. Check out the "Natural Processing" page to learn more about this modality.
